Agnes Louise Knapp, 99

Agnes Louise Knapp, 99, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at her residence in Kalispell.She was born April 17, 1909, in Minot, N.D., to Erick and Hanna (Vallestad) Hanson.Agnes met the love of her life, Paul E Knapp, and they were married Nov. 4, 1928. She was a very loving and caring wife and mother.Agnes spent most of her life as a homemaker and helping her husband with the family businesses: Hall Motors, The Dillon Hotel and Ken's Realty. Agnes was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making and sewing her children's clothes. She loved doing art and was very talented in oil painting, watercolor, pastels and china painting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Knapp.She is survived by her two daughters, Betty Steer of Antioch, Calif., and Dolores Lynch of Phoenix; one son, Keith Knapp, of Antioch, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell, with Pastor Debra Koch officiating. Interment will be afterward at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell.Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Agnes' family.
