Buenetta Alvina Siblerud McCown, 92, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at the home of her daughter in Post Falls, Idaho.

She was born in Hartland, Minn. - the fifth of seven children born to Martin and Emelia (Iverson) Siblerud.

Buenetta moved with her family to Kalispell when she was 3 years old. The family purchased a homestead in Egan, where Buenetta spent her childhood.

She attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church all her life and she was very active in many of its organizations. She loved her Bible study groups and attended Bible Study Fellowship for many years. Buenetta was a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader with her daughters and taught them many of life's skills and really how to live. She worked in retail sales for many years and really loved the clothing business, and she always looked like she stepped out of a fashion magazine.

She loved her children and grandchildren. She was in her glory when she helped take care of them. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend, and we will miss her forever.

Buenetta was preceded in death by her husband, Acil McCown, in 1990; a son-in-law, Gary Robinson; a grandson, Michael McGwier; her parents; four brothers; one sister; and their spouses.

She is survived by three daughters Connie Hensley and husband, Jack, of Kalispell, Diane McGwier and husband, Robert, of Post Falls, Idaho, and Paula (Robinson) Little and husband, Jeff, of Kalispell; a brother, Don Siblerud, and wife, Jo, of Kalispell; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Buenetta will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Larry Stappler officiating. Private family burial will be Wednesday in C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
