Cynthia Tobiason, 71

Cynthia Tobiason, 71, passed away Dec. 25, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.

A celebration of Cynthia's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be after the service at Glacier Memorial Gardens.

Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Fred; their children, Jim Tobiason and wife, Bonnie, Dennis Tobiason and wife, Helen, and Val Robbins and Willie, all of Kalispell; nine grandchildren, Shannon Chambliss and husband, Clayton, Nicholas Tobiason, Cassandra Hansen and husband, J.C., Christopher Tobiason and wife, Virginia, Dennis Mason, and Alexandria, Jennifer, Bartholomew and Veronica Tobiason.; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb and Emilee Chambliss, and Matthew Tobiason, and one more on the way.

Cynthia was born Dec. 9, 1937, to Dennis Mason and Anna Stevens in Medicine Lake, where she was raised and schooled.

Cynthia met Fred in 1957, and they were later married. They moved to Kalispell in 1965, where they have resided every since.

She worked at the old Kalispell Hospital in the cafeteria for several years, then was employed at Kalispell Junior High School, where she worked until she retired in 1991.

Cynthia loved gardening, taking care of her flowers, and sitting on their porch with all the wind chimes, and visiting with her family and friends.

Cynthia is additionally survived by a brother, Lorring Stevens, of Williston N.D.; sister-in-law, Lillian Stevens, of Seattle; and extended family, "Krantz Kids."

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Mason and Anna Stevens; a daughter, Tammy Jean; and brothers, David and Ralph Stevens.

"We think of heaven as a garden where we shall find again those dear ones we love. We love you and will miss you, but we look forward to the day we will see you again."
