Shirley A. Main, 72

Shirley A. Main, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

She was born in eastern Montana on June 22, 1935. The family moved to Kalispell in 1945. She attended schools in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1953.

She married in 1954 and had two children. Daughter, Roberta "Robi" Lee McCue, lives in Missoula, and her son, Ronald S. Sevier, lives in Spokane.

She is survived by three grandsons, Ryan Vickhammer, and David and Blaine McCue, all of Missoula. Also surviving are two brothers, Earl Main and Ted Main; six sisters, Phyllis Potuzak, Fran Ruby, Carrie Richards, Helen Petty, Barb Smith and Linda Byers; three aunts in Polson; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was active with her class of '53. For years she organized monthly luncheons for her friends from her class and will be missed by her friends and her family. Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired at 62 and was diagnosed with COPD.

Shirley loved family parties and her family. "We will miss seeing her sweet smile. She went to be with the Lord."

Arrangements are pending with Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory.
