Robert L. Daniels, 80, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Spokane.

He was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Offutt, Ky.

He and his wife Virginia (Ginny) Hoyt Daniels were residents of Bigfork from 1992 to 2007.

Bob leaves his wife, Virginia; three children, Aaron Mason Daniel of Anchorage, Alaska, R. Hoyt Daniel of Haw River, N.C., and Teresa A. Daniel of Spokane; grandchildren, Heather Giles, Chrystal Krumbholz, John Adans, Shawna Daniel, Nicholas Daniel, Eric Tranner and Kaylen Tanner; four great-grandchildren; brothers, James D. Daniel and Phillip L. Daniel; and sister, Dorotha Ingle.

Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean conflict, and then entered the U.S. Air Force from which he retired as a chief master sergeant with 28 years of service. He served in Morocco, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Hawaii. Bob held memberships in the American Legion and Lions Clubs.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Heritage Funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210, would be appreciated.
