Flathead County Sheriff's Department
Five vehicles were broken into Sunday night. Several firearms were taken from a car parked at a plumbing business in the 2900 block of U.S. 2; a rifle was stolen from a car in the 200 block of West Arbour Drive; a window was broken out of a car in the 2100 block of Mission Trail Road but nothing appeared to be missing; medication and a purse were reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 1700 block of South Woodland Avenue; and a vehicle in the 200 block of East Arbour Drive was rifled through. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies would like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked and valuables hidden.
Deputies responded to the Meadow Lakes subdivision after trespassers were reportedly spotted in a resident's hot tub. The strangers may have parked near the golf course, where a suspicious vehicle was reported.
A possibly suicidal diabetic woman reportedly left a home in the Two Mile Drive area on foot. Flathead County search and rescue was dispatched, but Kalispell police found the woman before they arrived.
A moose spotted on the side of U.S. 2 near Rogers Lake Road and believed to be injured got up and walked into the woods.
Family members were accused of making off with a Columbia Falls woman's belongings after she died. Deputies cleared the reports as unfounded.
A man refused to leave a bar on Montana 35 in Evergreen, even after he had been kicked out twice for harassing the bartender's girlfriend. The man was gone before deputies arrived, and they were unable to locate him on the street.
A blue and white fishing boat started floating down the Flathead River near Sportsman Bridge after the owner accidentally untied it. The owner rounded up some friends to help retrieve it.
A 46-year-old woman, who had been drinking, left a bar and showed up at a residence on U.S. 93. While there, the woman was being "a pain in the butt," according to the reporting party. Deputies responded and gave the woman a ride to her son's location.
A 12-year-old girl was reported missing after her mother returned to their Hungry Horse home to find her gone. She was reportedly spotted with several friend's in the Columbia Falls area.
Kalispell police
Three additional vehicles were broken into inside the city limits. A purse containing $50, credit cards, and blank checks was stolen from a car on College Avenue; a window was broken out of a van on Northern Lights Boulevard, but nothing appeared to be missing; and a wallet was stolen from a car on East Arbour Drive. Kalispell police are investigating.
Officers arrested a 23-year-old man for partner assault after he allegedly threw his wife, from whom he is soon to be separated, around their Airport Road Home. A similar incident reportedly took place about two weeks ago.
Officers were unable to find a man parked near Depot Park pointing a long-barreled gun with a scope out the window of his truck.
A 14-year-old North Meridian Road girl was arrested for family member assault and possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly pushing down her mother.
A concerned friend asked police to check on a man believed to be drunk and aggressive. Officers responded to the man's Second Street West home, where he yelled through the door that he was fine and didn't want to speak to authorities.
Two people got into an argument during a custody exchange outside the Kalispell Police Department.
People were spotted taking large chunks of ice and stacking them in the middle of First Avenue West.
Columbia Falls police
Columbia Falls police arrested a 21-year-old man on Whitefish warrants for violating a protective order and his conditions of release.
Two bikes secured to the flagpole outside the city's fire department were reported stolen.
Flathead County Alcohol Enforcement Team
The Flathead County Alcohol Enforcement Team arrested 13 minors for possession of alcohol at a house party on Lower Valley Road and two more for possession of alcohol in downtown Whitefish.
Alarms
The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to a crash near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Halfmoon Road. Three people were injured and taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The Creston Fire Department and Kalispell Fire Department responded to Montana 35 where a vehicle had rolled onto its side. A woman stuck inside was eventually freed and taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a West Colorado Street residence because the homeowner smelled burning plastic.
