Wava Combs, 85, 'went to be with her beloved Lord Jesus' on Feb. 15, 2008.

'We, her friends and family, will miss her greatly; however we rejoice that she is in a better place.'

Wava was born May 9, 1922, to Ova and Esther Combs in LaGrange County, Ind.

Wava loved to read, paint, and do craft and art projects. Doing jigsaw puzzles was an all-time favorite.

In her younger days she did missionary work in Haiti and Mexico. She also enjoyed fishing and picking huckleberries in the high country.

Wava loved spending time with her adopted family, Jeff, Linda, Jesse, Bethany and Casey Arneson, of Eureka.

She had many other dear friends in the Whitefish and Kalispell area who loved and cared about her.

Wava is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Willowdean and Clarence Franklin, of LaGrange, Ind.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Wel-Life Assisted Living Center on Three Mile Drive in Kalispell.
