Eugene M. Fulton, 93

Eugene M. Fulton, 93, of Kalispell, died Saturday Jan. 5, 2008, of natural causes at Montana's Veteran Home in Columbia Falls.

He was born April 11, 1914, in Bottineau, N.D., the son of Eugene and Marie Fulton. At age 10 the family moved to Saunemin, Ill., where he graduated from high school.

He moved to Rock Island, Ill., in 1936, and to Seattle, in 1940.

He was a veteran of World War II. After retiring from a distinguished career with the Army Corps of Engineers, he moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1970, where he lived until moving to Billings, Montana in 1991.

On Sept. 24, 1993, he married Jane Wheeler of Kalispell. With his devoted wife Jane, Kalispell became his home for the balance of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane; a son from his first marriage, Kurt Allan Fulton, of New York City; and a granddaughter, April Christine Carr, of Portland.
