Sylvia G. 'Tede' Zunick, 90

Sylvia G. "Tede" Zunick, 90, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. Tede was born on July 29, 1917, in Creston, Mont., to Martin and Sylvia Evjen. She attended schools in the Flathead Valley, graduating from Flathead County High School in 1935, then furthered her education by attending business college.

Sylvia married Lester Zorb. They had two children, Larry Zorb, who passed away in 2000, and Jay Zorb, who lives in California.

After Lester passed away, Sylvia married Matt Cress. From that marriage, she gained a stepson, Ron Cress. Sylvia was widowed for a second time, and then later married Joseph Zunick.

Sylvia worked for Buttrey's Clothing store on Main Street, and later worked for Typewriter Supply.

She enjoyed bowling, camping, playing cards, dancing and reading. She had been a member of the Fraternal Order of The Eagles most of her adult life.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands: Lester Zorb, Matt Gress and Joseph Zunick; her son, Larry Zorb; and six brothers and sisters.

Sylvia is survived by a son, Jay Zorb Sr.; stepson, Ronnie Cress; daughter-in-law, Diane Zorb; sister, Elizabeth Puggy Fleming; and brother, Darrell Evjen; three grandchildren, Steven Zorb, Kristi Zorb and Jay Zorb Jr.; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Tede requested to be cremated. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
