An 18-year-old man shot himself in the hand Sunday evening at a Nyack Flats residence. The man reportedly was inspecting his uncle's .45-caliber pistol, which he thought was unloaded, when it discharged and sent a round through his hand. The man then drove himself to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies have ruled the shooting an accident.

A man on U.S. 93 near Somers, who was combative from alcohol and an old brain injury, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a superficial knife wound.

Gas was stolen from boats at a motel on U.S. 93 in Lakeside.

Allegedly, a bunch of drunk, naked men were observed on the island in Foy's Lake. The men were clothed when deputies arrived.

Four people, earlier involved in a fistfight, were yelling at each other on Smoky Bear Lane. The parties were separated and decided not to press charges.

Young black bears tore up bird feeders on Hanging Rock Drive and Coon Hollow.

Lawn ornaments were reported stolen on Eagle Bend Drive.

Someone in a white pickup truck allegedly was seen cutting firewood on a game preserve near Smith Lake.

Deputies responded to domestic squabbles at motels on Montana 35 in Evergreen and Maple Drive near Kalispell.

A wakeboard and $150 were stolen from a residence on Granite View Drive. A chain saw was taken from a yard on North Riding Road.

Deputies responded to Wildebeest Lane in Marion after a woman called to report that her boyfriend refused to let her leave. Deputies were called back to the same residence about two hours later because the man was causing problems again, but this time he left before deputies arrived.

Someone trashed a room at a motel and RV park on Shady Lane.

The windows on several cars in an East Arbor Drive neighborhood were smashed, possibly with rocks.

Deputies received 209 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Windows were broken out of vehicles on Eighth Avenue East, Sixth Avenue West, Sixth Avenue East, Second Avenue East, Fourth Street West, Fourth Avenue East, and Ponderosa Street. Kalispell police took reports from nine victims.

Someone used orange paintballs to vandalize a house on Blue Crest Drive.

Officers confiscated fireworks from three boys who were throwing them at each other on South Woodland Avenue.

A 13-year-old boy reportedly was assaulted in the bathrooms at Woodland Water Park.

A man allegedly assaulted by two other men at a fast-food restaurant on East Idaho Street was given a bloody nose.

Money went missing from a home on Fifth Street West.

While investigating reports that someone was out of control and threatening to harm themselves on Second Avenue East North, officers came across an 18-year-old man with a warrant for traffic violations. He was arrested.

A man allegedly jumped in an alley off Main and Idaho streets was taken to the hospital.

Officers arrested a 25-year-old First Avenue West man for partner assault after a woman allegedly witnessed her friend lying on the floor with broken glass on the ground while the couple continued to yell at each other.

A resident on East California Street heard noises and thought someone was trying to get into her bedroom window.

Gold cart equipment and greens were vandalized at a golf course on U.S. 93 North.

Graffiti was found on a power box and garbage can near First Avenue East.

Yellow powder was found in a mailbox on 14th Street East. The resident was given advice on to safely remove it.

Officers received 74 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

A Jack Russell terrier was stolen from a Kalispell Avenue home. Whitefish police took the report.

Officers received 44 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police are investigating a reported break-in at a tobacco shop on Ninth Street West.

A car was keyed at a coffee shop on U.S. 2.

Alarms

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a fire burning through planks of Red Bridge, generally unused except for foot traffic, near the end of Talbot Road. Two boys, aged 14 and 15, are expected to be charged with negligent arson for setting off the fireworks that started the fire.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of East Edgewood Drive and Half Moon Road. The rider was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Smith Valley Fire Department were paged out to a rollover accident on Lower Valley Road, but no one at the scene required medical attention.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a restaurant on West Idaho Street after someone reported smelling a burning odor. The smell was coming from cooking equipment; there was no fire.

The ALERT helicopter, Coram Fire Department, and Three Rivers EMS responded to a motorcycle crash about 10 miles west of Marias Pass. The rider, who was breathing but seriously injured, was airlifted to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to the corner of U.S. 93 and Wyoming Street, where a car was leaking fuel. Firefighters cleaned up the liquid.

The ALERT helicopter, Coram Fire Department, Canyon Quick Response Unit, and Three Rivers EMS were paged to U.S. 2 near West Glacier, where a man fell off a 12-foot retaining wall. He was airlifted to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Kelly Road for a three-car collision. Occupants suffered minor injuries.
