Abigail Peachy, 6, runs through the snow Wednesday at Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. Peachy, who was visiting from Florida with her family, said this was the first time she had played in a field of snow.
Abigail's father, Troy Peachy, said they didn't know much about Glacier National Park and especially didn't expect snow July 2. "It's like 90 or so degrees back in Florida, so this is a wonderful surprise." The family of six also had no idea how lucky they were to reach Logan Pass until an area resident informed them that Wednesday was opening day.
"I can't believe it. This is so awesome. We are just so lucky I guess," said Abigail's mother, Annette Peachy.
