Helen E. Hay, 82

Helen E. Hay, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. She was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Saskatchewan to August and Agatha Thiel.

Helen was raised and attended schools in Bruno, Saskatchewan. She attended college where she earned her registered nurses' degree.

Helen married Glen R. Hay on Nov. 15, 1951, in Estevan, Saskatchewan. They were married for 56 years.

Helen really enjoyed being with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love for her husband and her four children was endless.

She enjoyed bowling and traveling.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clemens and Ted; one sister, Dorothy; and a granddaughter, AdriAnn Walckier.

She is survived by husband, Glen; children, Pat and husband, Jim Walckier, Robert and wife, Carol Hay, Donna and husband, Chuck Pummill, and Ardis and husband, Mike Stewart; sister, Alma Thiel; brother, Ralph Thiel; grandchildren, John and Allison, Clint and Janice, Gena Stevens and Lonnie, Adam and Nikki, and Whitney; and great-grandchildren, Parkier and Peyton Stevens, Jordan Kostuk, Megan and Emma Hay, and Jaron Pummill.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of Helen's life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 7, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with Deacon Fred Topp of St. Matthew's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be afterward at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
