Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Fourth Avenue East North outside of Columbia Falls, where a timber shop had been broken into. While there, deputies noticed the smoking remains of a car that had been torched behind a nearby industrial park. Firefighters extinguished the smoldering wreckage.
A couple in Coram told deputies they were being followed by another woman. They were given advice on how to obtain a restraining order.
A woman received a text message from her ex-husband, saying he was at her Echo Chalet Drive home, tearing it up. The woman called deputies requesting that they check on her 13-year-old daughter, who was in the home alone. Everything was fine when deputies arrived.

Kalispell police
A man in the back seat of a car with Wyoming plates on Second Avenue West reportedly was sitting next to a baby, playing with a handgun. Kalispell police located the car an hour later. Turns out it was an air-soft pistol.
Gas was siphoned from a vehicle on Leisure Drive.
A man found his stolen vehicle on Seventh Street West and Meridian Road.
Officers responded to a motel on East Idaho Street, where a guest - who had been drinking - drove into a pole and then took off. When the guest returned, the motel owner called back to complain about the property damage.
People setting off mortarlike fireworks on Vanderbilt Drive had one fall over, go off, and explode underneath a neighbor's car. When the neighbor complained, the car was egged.
Two groups of people appeared to be marshaling for a fight at a First Street West bank. They were gone when officers arrived. Later, a man called police to report that he and his friends had been threatened by another group of people with baseball bats.
A woman's mother and her boyfriend's stepfather were fighting in the front yard of a Fifth Avenue West North home, but nobody wanted to press charges.

C. Falls police
A concrete flower pot was vandalized on Nucleus Avenue. Columbia Falls police took the report.
A baby was left in a car on Third Avenue East and Seventh Street. Officers responded and ended up ticketing a man on suspicion of drug possession.
Officers received 73 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Alarms
The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to a crash on Sixth Avenue West. Two people were taken to North Valley Hospital.
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to East Idaho Street, where some outside lighting caused a bush to catch fire. The flames were extinguished and the power shut off.
The Somers Fire Department was dispatched to a bank on U.S. 93 after smoke was seen coming from the back of the building. Turns out it wasn't smoke, but exhaust from equipment being used to dry the building after it was damaged by water.
