Warden Douglas Beck, 40

Warden Douglas Beck, 40, passed away July 6, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center from injuries he received from an accident. Warden was born Feb. 10, 1968, in Silverton, Ore., to Bradley and Margaret (Spurgeon) Beck.

At the age of 4, Warden moved with his family to Olney, where he attended Olney grade school and Whitefish High School.

Warden worked at various jobs within the timber industry, mainly as a sawyer.

Warden was always ready to lend a helping hand and considered everyone a friend.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, or just hiking in the woods with his dogs. He loved to curl up with a good book.

Warden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett and Emily Spurgeon, and Lester and Olga Beck.

He is survived by his parents, Bradley and Margaret Beck, of Olney; sister, Dana, and husband, Walter Howe, of Mulino, Ore.; brothers, Bradley, and wife, Kellie Beck, of Kalispell, and DeWayne Beck of Olney; nieces, Marianna Weatherston and Jane, and Willie Beck, all of Kalispell; and nephews, Bradley, Jacob, Gabriel Beck and baby, Bradley Beck.

A celebration of Warden's life will be held at noon Saturday, July 19, at the Olney Community Fire Hall.
