Erwin Eugene Grimm, 65
Erwin Eugene Grimm, 65, a lifelong resident of Kalispell, passed away July 13, 2008, at his Kalispell home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Kalispell, the son of Theodore and Ellen (Radabah) Grimm. Erwin attended local schools, graduating from Flathead County High School in 1961.
He had many hobbies over the years, including race cars, motorcycles, bowling, fishing and woodworking.
Erwin was a hard worker who was very well liked by the many with whom he became acquainted.
He truly enjoyed the daily outings with his faithful canine companions, Buffy and Dillon, touring the Flathead Valley. Seems they always had something different to see every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Erwin is survived by his wife, Beverly, at their Kalispell home; and his children, Robin Pritchett and her husband, Tony, Lori Stinger and her husband, Bill, Kristi Jones and her husband, Jason, and Mike Emerson and his wife, Christie, all of Kalispell. He also is survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Stephanie, Cody, Carly, Gavin and Shaylee; brother, Fred Grimm, of Helena; sisters, Peggy Jackson and her son, Bruce Bernardi, of Havre, Margie Midland and her husband, Gordon, of Oregon, Fran Condon and her husband, Butch, of Helena, and Janet Flanigan and her husband, Francis, of Kalispell; his mother-in-law, Hazel Gore, affectionately known as "Mom"; his very dedicated friend, Russ Hylton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
His children, grandchildren, family and friends gave him much joy and comfort. All of their love and support was very important to him.
All who knew him will dearly miss him.
Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services, per Erwin's request.
A potluck gathering will be held to celebrate Erwin's life from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Gore Hall, located just behind 233 Harmony Road on Parliament Drive in Evergreen.
Erwin and his family request that instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hospice, 175 Commons Loop, No. 100, Kalispell, MT 59901.
