Myrna Kelley Fopp, 89, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008, at HealthCenter Northwest in Kalispell. She was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Kalispell, to Orville and Elizabeth Kelley, the second of three children.

Myrna grew up in Kalispell and attended local schools, graduating from Flathead High School in 1936.

She married Allen John Fopp in 1939. They lived on Flathead Lake until Al joined the Border Patrol and then they moved to El Paso, Texas. When Al was called to service during World War II, Myrna followed him to his various stations. When they returned to Kalispell, they built and operated the Hacienda Restaurant (now Scotty's) for 30 years. When they retired, they purchased a motor home and traveled, finally buying a place in Mesa, Ariz., where they spent their winters, with summers in Kalispell.

Myrna was very active working in the restaurant, in her flowers, playing golf, and in sports, especially with her race horse, 'Flying Whitesocks.' She loved her family and their activities and her home.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kelley, in 1984; and her husband in 1993.

She is survived by two daughters, Nikki Fopp of Glendale, Ariz., and Candy Fopp of Kalispell; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Beardsley) Robichaux, of Bellingham, Wash.; and great-granddaughter, Satori; one sister, Aileen Howser, of Renton, Wash.; and a brother, Orville Kelley, of Seattle.

Graveside services will be held for Myrna Fopp at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
