Keith Wilson Syverson, 74

Keith Wilson Syverson, 74, of Bigfork, passed away from natural causes on Monday, July 28, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospital. Keith was born in Valley City, N.D., to Paul A. and Bessie Syverson on June 27, 1934.

His grandparents homesteaded in Belmont, north of Billings. He attended schools in Hot Springs and Polson.

As a young man, Keith worked in logging camps on the North Fork of the Flathead River and in lookouts for the U.S. Forest Service.

He served in the U.S. Army in Germany where he met Kathe, his wife. After his honorable discharge in 1963, he returned to Montana and began a 29-year career with Pacific Power and Light as an operator dispatcher.

His father and mother preceded him in death.

His wife, Kathe; sons, Mike and Mark; daughter-in-law, Noorjahan; and his brother, Paul N. Syverson, survive Keith.

According to Keith's wishes, cremation will take place and no services are planned.
