Earl Henry Evert, 71

Earl Henry Evert, 71, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

He was born Nov. 12, 1936 in Havre to Warren and Blanche (Averille) Evert.

Earl grew up in Havre with his brother, Art, and two sisters, Lillian and Beaneita, on the family homestead just north of Havre. He spent many years as a mill right, truck driver and welder, and was fondly known by many as 'a jack of all trades, master of none.'

Earl was a member of the Eagles, the Elks Club and the Evergreen Lions.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee, in 1971; his parents; his brother; and both sisters.

Earl is survived by his children, Warren Evert (Candi), Wayne Evert (Danette) and Walter Evert (Linda), all of Kalispell; Edna Rickman (Ed) of Graham, Wash.; Hazel Inglis of Erwin, N.C.; Valerie Fischer (John) of Valdez, Alaska; and Raymond Evert of Shelby; 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services for Earl will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Pete Chappel officiating. A reception will be held at the Moose Lodge in Evergreen immediately after the services.
