Ray S. Hanson, 73,
of Eureka, died Saturday May 31, 2008, at his home in Eureka from natural causes. He was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Leeds, N.D., to Howard and Berny Gresdal Hanson. He moved to Eureka at an early age where he grew up and attended school.
He graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He married Harryette Holmes in 1963. Together they had three daughters. Ray worked in the woods most of his life as a logger. He married Peggy Bradley in 1984 in Kalispell. Ray loved driving around the woods.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy, of Eureka; three daughters, Shonda Morrison and husband, Jon, of Kalispell, Rhonda Kearney of Kalispell, and Shelly Bugni and husband Jefre Sr., of Bakersfield, Calif.; stepchildren, Krystal Weaver and husband Ryan of Centralia, Wash., and Bob Spencer Jr., and wife, Lori, of Pocatello, Idaho; 10 grandchildren Calder, Tanner, Cody, Cory, Jefre II, Janae, Brandon, Kenedee, Trevor and Taylor; brothers, Harvey Hanson and wife, Mona, and Stan Hanson and wife, Leola, all of Whitefish.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday June 6, at the First Baptist Church in Eureka. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Eureka.
