Stray bullet strikes woman in the stomach

Flathead County Sheriff

A young woman was hit in the stomach by a ricocheted .22-caliber bullet during target practice in western Flathead County Sunday afternoon. The Marion Ambulance took her to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported.

A 500-gallon propane tank was stolen Sunday afternoon on Emmons Canyon Road.

Four mailboxes were smashed on Lion Mountain Loop Road Sunday morning.

A computer and printer were stolen from a store in Evergreen late Saturday evening.

The sheriff's office received a report Saturday of a man struck on Hungry Horse Dam Road on Friday, who was taken to North Valley Hospital to have his lip stitched up.

A Red Toyota Tacoma was stolen on Blacktail Road early Saturday evening.

A dog attacked and injured an elk fawn on Parliament Drive. The fawn was turned over to the state fish and game department.

Kalispell Police

Kalispell police arrested a 23-year-old woman for drunken driving, speeding and two misdemeanor warrants on Eighth Avenue West early Sunday morning. A 22-year-old woman passenger was arrested for obstructing officers and on a felony warrant.

An early Sunday morning fight involving seven or eight men moved from one southern Kalispell bar to another. The fighters suffered minor injuries. No one pressed charges.

A purse was stolen from a car at a store on U.S. 93 North Saturday evening.

A Jeep Cherokee was broken into and $1 was stolen at Third Avenue Northwest Saturday afternoon.

The police received 43 calls from 3:30 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Whitefish Police

Whitefish police picked up a 16-year-old runaway girl late Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man for disorderly conduct and possessing alcohol on U.S. 93 just after midnight.

Police arrested three boys and one girl for possessing alcohol in the downtown early Sunday morning.

Whitefish police received 14 calls from 3:30 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Columbia Falls Police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 25-year-old man for drunken driving early Sunday morning on U.S. 2.

Police received 33 calls from 3:30 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Flathead Electric Cooperative responded to a sparking power line on Glenwood Drive late Saturday evening.
