John Rausch, Locke HR for Mariners

DILLON - Eric Locke and John Rausch both homered in the second inning as Mission Valley's Mariners scored seven runs en route to a 17-7 American Legion baseball victory Thursday over the Bitterroot Bucs at the Dillon Tournament.
Locke, 1-for-2, led off the inning with a solo shot to right field. It was his third HR of the season.
Rausch, 2-for-4, homered to left center, a grand slam. It was his second HR of the season. He also doubled and finished with four RBIs.
Beau Nordberg, 4-for-4, doubled twice for the Mariners. He finished with three RBIs.
Brandon Roy, 1-for-3, had the other Mariners' double, and Tim Rausch, 2-for-4, tripled.
Mission Valley had 10 hits in the contest to seven for Bitterroot.
Matt Perez belted a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning for Bitterroot.
Mission Valley (14-7) has two tournament games today - 10 a.m. versus Livingston Rangers and 12:30 p.m. versus Salmon River Savages.
