Locke throws no-hitter for Mariners

DILLON - Eric Locke tossed a no-hitter to keep Mission Valley perfect in tournament play Friday as the Mariners crushed Livingston 11-0.

Locke (3-0) fanned eight batters and issued just three walks.

He struck out the side in the second inning and recorded two strike outs in the fourth in five innings of work.

The game ended on the 10-run rule.

John Rausch doubled twice for Mission Valley. Tim Rausch and Tyler Linse also doubled.

Kyle Bagnell had three RBIs for the victors.

In Mission Valley's second game Friday, Austin Moran slammed his first-ever home run and Brandon Roy doubled and tripled in a 12-6 victory over Salmon River.

Moran's HR to left field came in the sixth inning with one runner on.

Roy tripled in the third inning to score two runners. He doubled in the seventh.

Mission Valley (19-7) plays tournament host Dillon today at 5:30 p.m.
