GREAT FALLS - It was a rough trip to the Electric City.

The Glacier Twins dropped a Western AA American Legion baseball doubleheader to the Great Falls Electrics on Tuesday after being swept by the Great Falls Stallions on Monday.

The Electrics rallied for a 9-8 victory in Game 1 before rolling 19-6 in the nightcap.

Glacier (9-13 overall, 0-7 conference) visits the Mission Valley Mariners on Thursday at 5 p.m. for one nonconference contest.

Electrics 9, Twins 8

The Twins got within three outs of their first conference win, but the Electrics scored four runs in the seventh inning to complete the comeback.

"They kind of chipped away," Twins coach Ryan Hadfield said. "We made a couple inopportune errors combined with a couple of walks, and that was it."

The Electrics spoiled a strong pitching performance by Zane Ridings.

"Zane Ridings threw incredibly well in the first game against a good-hitting team," Hadfield said. "They do swing it."

Dustin VonFeldt went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a double to lead Glacier, while Scott Palmer, Ryan Caron, Scott Yogodzinski, Bridger Beach and Zane Ridings had one hit apiece.

John Reilly, Taylor Shanahan and Tucker Cook each had two hits to pace Great Falls.

Glacier pounded out 10 hits, including a three-run home run by Ryan Caron, but it wasn't nearly enough.

The Electrics scored 16 runs in the second inning to erase the Twins' 5-0 lead.

"It was crazy," Hadfield said. "They just kept hitting slow dribblers where we weren't, and we made five errors in that inning, and it was just a bloody mess."

Palmer led Glacier with three hits, and Caron finished with two.
