MISSOULA - Missoula got the early jump on Kalispell twice, riding those advantages to a doubleheader sweep in Western AA American Legion baseball action on Tuesday at Lindborg-Cregg Field.
Missoula (6-0 in league) scored three times in the first three innings to win the opener 7-2. Kalispell had four errors in that game.
The Mavs used a six-run second inning to roll in Game 2, 8-1.
Kalispell (1-4) outhit Missoula in the final game, 9-8. Brian Sneck, 2-for-3, and Ben Sansaver, 2-for-4, paced the Laker offense in that outing.
The Lakers had just six hits in the first game. Adam Olson went 2-for-3.
Kalispell did not commit an error in the second game.
Missoula is now 4-0 this season versus Kalispell.
The Lakers (14-13 overall) play a doubleheader at Lethbridge on Saturday starting at 5 p.m.
