Robert 'Bob' D. Goodman, 65
Robert "Bob" D. Goodman, 65, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. He was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Palo Alto, Calif., to Army G. and Mae Marie (Sterner) Goodman.
Bob received his early education in Palo Alto, graduating from Cubberley High School in 1961. He joined the Army National Guard, which led to his work as a draftsman for a number of electrical companies in California.
Bob belonged to a Palo Alto motorcycle club and was sponsored in many races across the country.
Bob moved to the Flathead Valley around 1983, where he worked as a dump-truck operator for Sandon Construction and then Nelcon Construction, before retiring in 2007.
Bob loved to hunt, fish and make stained-glass art, and he often could be seen around town with Danny Boy and Benny. He also had a side business he enjoyed, of snowplowing parking lots and driveways.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Morales of Penn Valley, Calif., and Karen Misenhimer of Santa Clara, Calif.; as well as seven nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held for Bob at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Rainbow Bar, 1520 Montana 35, in Kalispell. There will be a potluck dinner; please, no one younger than 18 years of age.
Bob's family suggest memorials be made to the charity of their choice.
