A 44-year-old Marion man was arrested on suspicion of partner assault and criminal manufacture of dangerous drugs after allegedly punching a woman in the head. The man, who may have been a little bit out of it, apparently forced the person reporting the disturbance off the phone so he could make a call. He re-dialed 911. The woman was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
A 7-year-old reported missing from an Appleway Drive residence was found.

A grocery store on Third Avenue East North proved to be an attractive target for shoplifters Wednesday night. Kalispell police arrested a 16-year-old boy there on suspicion of theft, trespass, possession of tobacco, and possession of alcohol after he allegedly tried to walk out with some beer. Several hours later, officers responded to the same store and arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of shoplifting, disorderly conduct, and possession of alcohol when he too allegedly attempted to steal beer. His alleged accomplices, a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, were ticketed on suspicion of possession of alcohol.
Officers arrested an 18-year-old employee of an electronics store on U.S. 93 North after he allegedly stole GPS units, a radar detector, iPods, and some video games.
