Whitefish police arrested a 22-year-old woman on assault and animal cruelty charges after she reportedly assaulted someone and attempted to poison a dog and five or six puppies.

Whitefish police

Police arrested a 31-year-old Creston man on suspicion of disorderly conduct after a disturbance at a downtown bar.

Officers received 54 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff

Two men fought outside a motel. One man, who reportedly owed the other $300, left before Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrived. The other man didn't want to pursue charges.

A caller "didn't like what she saw" on South Woodland Drive, where several youths reportedly were drinking alcohol and smoking pot.

An RV park manager had warned the man he wasn't allowed on the property, yet there he was, sleeping in his mother's car. Deputies gave the man an "official" warning - then arrested him on a warrant.

A man first noticed a camera and some CDs had been stolen from his pickup at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday, but he decided to go golfing before reporting the theft.

An animal warden helped free a miniature horse trapped under a deck on Foothills Road.

Participants in "Bullrun," a rally that takes high-end car drivers from Calgary to Phoenix, chalked up several traffic tickets and reckless-driving complaints Saturday.

Kalispell police

A teenage boy ran from the Kalispell police officer who tried to pick him up on suspicion of violating his probation. After a brief foot pursuit, the boy was ticketed on suspicion of resisting arrest and obstructing an officer in addition to the original probation violation charge.

A caller witnessed guys in a pickup throwing eggs at three vehicles at the intersection of Fourth Street and Fourth Avenue East.

Police arrested a 22-year-old woman on suspicion of partner/family member assault after she was involved in a fight at Woodland Park.

Police arrested two men in their 30s on suspicion of shoplifting at a grocery store. A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, violating curfew and being a minor in possession.

Officers received 79 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

A Marion man said he'd run over his fully gassed up lawn mower with his ATV, and that both vehicles started to smoke after he put them in the garage. They were still in the garage but no longer smoking when the Marion Fire Department and Fisher River Mutual Aid arrived.

Three Rivers EMS took a man to the hospital after he fell off his horse in the woods near Coram.

Kalispell Fire Department ambulance took an elderly man to the hospital after his vehicle hit a building on Third Avenue West-North.

Kalispell Fire Department investigated a vehicle fire Saturday afternoon at Lawrence Park.
