Harrison Lee Weaver, 80

Harrison Weaver, former pastor of Evergreen Christian Missionary Alliance Church and founder of Fortine Community Church, passed away Jan. 21, 2008, in Deland, Fla.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at the Fortine Cemetery. Lunch will follow the service at the Fortine Community Church.

Harrison was born May 2, 1927, in Liberty, Ohio, the sixth of 10 children. While attending St. Paul Bible College (Crown College), in St. Paul, Minn., he met Tomme Ann Dresbach, his wife.

The Weavers began their ministry by serving on the White Earth Indian Reservation in Minnesota for three years. Harrison was then appointed church builder for the Northwestern District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Later, he entered pastoral ministry and for 40 years served churches in Montana, Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Texas. While pastoring, Harrison also built two churches, many additions, and three homes.

He enjoyed life to the fullest and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Harrison's final pastorate was in Anchorage, Alaska, where he founded the Alliance Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Tomme Ann, of Deland; two sons, Daniel and Jonathan, their wives, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all residing in Alaska.
