Larry Olson, 61

Larry Olson, 61, of Havre, and a former longtime resident of Kalispell, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre, with his sister, Connie, and brother-in-law, Larry, at his bedside. Larry died of lengthy illnesses from which he had suffered for most of his life. He gave life a valiant fight.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be officiated by Rowlie Hutton at noon Saturday at the Hill County Cemetery. A potluck dinner will take place after the service at the home of Larry and Connie Lund, 1937 Rich St. W., in Havre. All are welcome.

Larry was born March 14, 1947, to Henry and Mary Olson in Havre. He attended school in Havre, graduating in 1965.

Larry was a proud member of the Squires Band from Havre. They played throughout Montana and the Northwest in the '60s.

Larry served four years in the United States Navy, which led him to Vietnam. Larry then went to work for the Great Northern Railway as an engineer, retiring because of illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Olson; brother, Art Olson; and nephew, Levi Lund.

Survivors include his son, Aaron, and a daughter, Aubrey; sister, Connie, and Larry Lund of Havre; and nephew, Clint, and Sarah Lund of Billings.
