Emma Barbara Dolph, 83

Emma Barbara Dolph, better known as Barbara, 83, passed away June 26, 2008, in Great Falls at the home of her sister. Barbara became ill in March 2008 of congestive heart failure and moved to Great Falls on June 10. She was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Minot, N.D., to Jacob and Barbara (Voeller) Grismer.

Barbara graduated from Great Falls High School in 1943.

She worked at the telephone company before marrying Russell Dolph on Feb. 14, 1949, in Great Falls. They farmed in Hingham until retiring in 1977, at which time they moved to Polson and later to Kalispell in 1989.

She enjoyed bowling, was an avid golfer, and liked playing cards with her group of friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, in 1999.

She is survived by one sister, Marie Gebert, and two brothers, Leo and Henry Grismer, all of Great Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, in the Johnson-Gloschat chapel, with Pastor Glenn Burfeind of the Kalispell First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be afterward in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Monday, June 30, and until the time of service Tuesday in the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
