Mabel A. Putnam, 91

Mabel A. Putnam passed away Feb. 23, 2008, at Robert Lee Care Center in Robert Lee, Texas, which had been her residence for the past 2 1/2 years. She was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Chinook, to Albert and Florence Prosser.

Mabel was united in marriage to Clarence Putnam on Dec. 21, 1934. They were married for 18 years before adopting their daughter, DeAnna, on Feb. 12, 1952.

Mabel is survived by her daughter, DeAnna, and Marty Pedrick, of San Angelo, Texas. She also is survived by a stepbrother, Jim Overcast, of Scappoose, Ore.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; and her husband of 70 years, Clarence "Bud" Putnam.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Gary Nussey for all his care, and also Robert Lee Care Center for all their love and care.

"Mama, you are home now with Daddy; enjoy yourself walking the streets of heaven together."

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. March 3, at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, in Mesa, Ariz. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. March 4 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa.
