Helen M. Mulloy, 77, of Kalispell passed away Monday, March 3, 2008, after a short fight with cancer.

Helen was born to Fred and Vera Quinn on March 8, 1930, in Los Angeles.

Helen married John C. Mulloy on Aug. 16, 1947. John was transferred back to Montana. Finally, after various moves, they spent their married working years in Billings. They raised two girls.

In 1969, they purchased property on the west shore of Whitefish Lake. In 1970, they began construction of their lake home. Many wonderful memories and friends made their headaches and woes disappear into laughter.

Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Anne, in 1971; her sister, Norma Griffith; a stepson, "Jack" Mulloy, in 1976; and her husband, John, in 2000, after 53 years of marriage.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Janice, of Kalispell; her niece, Phyllis Ludricks, of Calif.; a great-nephew, Bill Ludricks, of Calif.; three grandsons, Jason Mulloy of Hawaii, and Ryan Schmaing and Jared Luke of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and two granddaughters, Roxanne and Jacquie of Calif. The newest addition is an adorable great-grandson, Kaiden Thomas Schmaing, of Flagstaff.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 8, at the Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish, in celebration of her 78th birthday. After the service, people may join us at the Whitefish VFW for cake and coffee.

Memorials in Helen's name may be made to the American Cancer Society for research, American Asthma Association or Sacred Heart Transplant services in Spokane.

This paid obituary is being run again at the request of the family.
