Lake County Sheriff's Office

The Lake County Sheriff's Office received a report Friday of a possible mountain lion attack on a dog on the southeast side of Polson. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has not confirmed the attack, dispatchers said, but residents should be aware of a possible cougar in the area.

Residents should report anything suspicious to the Sheriff's Office at 883-7301 or the Tribal Law Enforcement Office at 675-4700.
