Trustee jobs open in area school districts
Flathead County's public schools already are gearing up for election day May 6.
Many school boards have yet to decide whether to ask voters for tax levies; the deadline to set levy amounts is April 11.
Voters who have not already registered with the Flathead County Election Department must do so by April 6.
Every school district has openings on its board of trustees. Those interested in running should contact their school clerk's office to request a nomination packet. Nomination petitions are due at the clerk's office before the end of the day March 27.
Below is a district-by-district lineup of school board openings, trustees whose terms expire this spring and contact information.
In the high school districts, trustees who represent only rural elementary districts and vote only on high school issues are listed by the elementary districts they represent.
Bigfork
Three openings, all for three-year terms.
Expiring terms: Dave Carlson, Swan River district; Paul Sandry, K-12; Scott Reichner, K-12.

Cayuse Prairie
Two openings, both three-year terms.

Four openings, all three-year terms.
