Bigfork's Fierro, Whitefish's Ferda make Class A state tourney squad

Bigfork's Alyssa Fierro and Whitefish's Ashley Ferda have been named to the Class A state all-tournament basketball team.

Fierro is a 6-foot-2 senior center and Ferda a 5-6 senior guard.

Fierro had 13 points and 12 rebounds in Bigfork's 41-39 loss to Havre last Thursday in the opening round of state play. She had 16 points and 12 rebounds in a 67-35 loss to Miles City in loser-out play.

Ferda totaled 13 points and six rebounds as Whitefish opened state play with a 53-33 loss to Livingston. She came back with 19 points and seven rebounds in a 51-50 win over Dillon. She finished state play with seven points in a 51-43 loss to Havre.
