Habel, Hashley named All-State in girls' basketball

Flathead's Kendalyn Habel, a 5-foot-7 junior guard, and Glacier's Emilee Hashley, a 6-0 junior center, have been named to the Class AA All-State girls' basketball team from the Western Division.
Habel guided the Bravettes to a berth in the AA state tournament last week in Great Falls, where she averaged 25.5 points for two games. She hit a career-high 35 points in an opening-round loss to Butte at state. Her previous scoring high was 27, which she hit three times during her final season.
Habel averaged 19 points and 8.2 rebounds.
It marked the second straight year Habel has been named All-State. Last year, Habel averaged 11.2 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Hashley finished the season averaging 12.8 points and 7.6 rebounds.
Habel and Hashley were also members of the Western Division All-Conference first team, along with Flathead's Meghan O'Connell, a 5-7 senior guard. O'Connell averaged 12 points.
