Man accidentally shoots self in knee

A man, 27, apparently shot himself in the knee outside a motel on Montana 35 early Monday. The Flathead County Sheriff's Office responded along with the Evergreen Ambulance, which transported the man to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The Sheriff's Office considers it an accidental shooting.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on Conrad Drive involving an elderly man with Alzheimer's disease who was taken to the hospital.

A shed was reportedly broken into at a business on Conn Road. It's unclear if anything was stolen.

There was a report of someone shooting an arrow into a log deck at the Plum Creek plant on Sunset Drive. It has happened several times before recently.

Tools were reported stolen from a business on McCaffery Road.

A Gunsight Loop resident suspects a neighbor cut his tree down.

A Martin City resident reported an assault, but when deputies began asking for details declined to comment further.

A West Birch Grove Road resident received a text message from a person looking for cocaine and Ecstasy. The message turned out to be a prank.

A cooler full of beer and soda was stolen from a Bear Trial resident's backyard. The owner called deputies because he wanted the cooler back.

Four or five skateboarders throwing rocks at parking lot lights on East Evergreen Drive were gone when deputies arrived.

Deputies arrested a 22-year-old man for assault after he attacked a woman at a campground on Helena Flats Road.

Kalispell police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant after responding to a report of someone throwing objects off the roof of a restaurant on Main Street early Monday.

A man was arrested for theft of services at a U.S. 93 hotel early Monday.

Binoculars and sunglasses were reported stolen from a car that was parked on the 700 block of First Avenue East.

A window and screen were reportedly broken at a home on the 900 block of Fourth Avenue East. It appeared that someone had gone through the house, but nothing apparently was taken.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on the 600 block of Ninth Avenue West, finding a woman with a head laceration who was transported to the hospital. The incident is under investigation.

A car that had been parked at Rising Sun Circle was reported stolen sometime Sunday night.

A window was reported broken out of a car parked on the 400 block of Liberty Street.

A patient at the hospital reported that a $900 diamond necklace was stolen while she was in surgery.

Big Mountain Ambulance responded to a person who injured in a high-speed collision at the base of Chair One at Whitefish Mountain Resort on Monday morning. The person, who initially was unresponsive, was transported to North Valley Hospital.

The Ferndale Fire Department responded to a chimney fire at a home on Montana 209 Monday morning.
