Rape reported on 5th Avenue

Kalispell Police officers responded to a report of a sexual assault at 2:33 a.m. Tuesday on Fifth Avenue East. The woman reported that a man entered her apartment, assaulted her and left through the sliding glass door.

She described the assailant as wearing a green hoody, baggy jeans and having brown spiked hair.

A suspicious fire was discovered in the basement of a new beauty salon on Fifth Avenue West Tuesday. According to police, the source of the fire is under investigation.

Employees at the Sportsman & Ski Haus reported that a bunch of youths entered the store in Kalispell around 2 p.m. Tuesday and stole items including a pair of board shorts. They left in a green Mazda.
