Orval Dale Prichard, 74

Orval Dale Prichard, 74, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 18, 2008. He was born in Fairview on Aug. 21, 1933.

Orval is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Ethel Prichard; his brothers, Kenneth, Forrest and wife Vera, and Richard and wife Betty; his sisters, Hattie McCracken, and Donna Lidstrom and husband Dewayne; his daughters, Nancy Kreber and husband Tom, Karen Ortega and husband Rudolph, and Gail and husband Fred; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Nellie Prichard; his brother, Darrell Prichard; sister, Virgie Lou Walz; brother-in-law, Ralph Walz; and brother-in-law Fred McCracken.

Orval worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for most of his life. He always had a story to tell of times back when he was younger.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and meeting all his friends at the Nite Owl daily.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls, followed by graveside services at Fairview Cemetery.

A potluck gathering will be at Orval and Ethel's home following the graveside service.
