Florence Frances Cummings, 90

Florence Frances Cummings, 90, a longtime resident of Whitefish, passed away Wednesday evening, March 19, 2008.

Frances was born and raised in Walkerville. She married Robert James on Aug. 8, 1953, and they moved to Whitefish in 1955, where they raised their children: son, James, and daughter, Joani.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cummings.

Florence is survived by her children, Jim Cummings of Boise, Idaho, and Joani Cummings of Stevensville; a nephew, John Osborne, of Twin Bridges; four grandchildren, John M. Timmons, Casy R. and spouse, Allison Timmons, Jim Cummings and Michael Cummings; four great-grandchildren, Kestin, Tyra, Casy and Cain Timmons; as well as extended family in Slovenija.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.

Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish is in charge of the arrangements.
