Edith B. (Graham) Turner, 89

Edith B. (Graham) Turner, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at her residence in Kalispell. She was born at the family home near Havre on Oct. 6, 1918, to Charles and Lillian (Nystrom) Graham.

Edith graduated from Havre High School and Northern Montana College and received her master's degree in Bellingham, Wash.

On May 26, 1940, Edith married Kenneth Turner in Havre. She was a farm wife and teacher, having taught elementary school at several rural schools, retiring after 22 years at Kremlin.

Edith enjoyed being with her family. She also loved gardening, ceramics, genealogy, quilting and reading. She was also a 4-H leader for many years in the Great Falls area.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Wayne; brothers, Carl and Fred; sister, Ann; grandson, Warren; great-granddaughter, Alexis; and a son-in-law, C.J. Kuno.

She is survived by three daughters, Fay and Wes Wolf of Kalispell, Judy and Dick Seibert of Zillah, Wash., and Jan Kuno of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a son, Ivan, and Mariana Turner of Bigfork; daughter-in-law, Jan Turner, of Big Sandy; a sister, Amy Johnson, of Sand Coulee; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Edith will take place at a later date.
