Ira C. 'Ike' Watteyne, 94

Ira C. "Ike" Watteyne, 94, "went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ" on Friday, May 16, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. Ike was born on April 4, 1914, in Tecumseh, Neb., to August and Ella (Phillips) Watteyne. He was raised in Tecumseh, where he attended and graduated from school.

He married his first wife, Effie, in 1933; she passed away in 1994.

Ike married Lois Wagner on May 4, 2001, in Kalispell.

Ike worked his whole life in accounting and as a business man. He loved hunting and working.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Effie; and a brother, Harold Watteyne.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Watteyne; a son, Jack Watteyne, and his wife, Suzi; and two grandchildren, Kevin Watteyne and wife Julie, and Kent Watteyne and wife Pam.

Graveside urn services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.
