Flathead weather: Minor flooding expected

Some additional minor flooding is predicted for today in the Middle Fork and North Fork of the Flathead river.

Also, the National Weather Service expects scattered showers in the Kalispell area and Glacier National Park - possibly reaching 0.2 inches in rainfall.

Meanwhile, the weather service predicts dry skies Tuesday.

Minor flooding occurred Sunday at Columbia Falls and upstream of the town.

On Sunday:

. The Flathead River hit at least 13.81 feet at Columbia Falls in the afternoon, and was expected to crest at 14.1 feet Sunday evening. Flood stage there is 14 feet.

. The North Fork hit at least 10.29 feet at the Canadian border. Flood stage there is 10.5 feet.

. The North Fork hit at least 12.1 feet at Polebridge. Flood stage there is 12 feet.

. The North Fork hit at least 9.6 feet near Columbia Falls. Flood stage there is 13 feet.

. The Middle Fork hit 8.8 feet near Essex. Flood stage there is 10.5 feet.

. The Middle Fork hit at least 9.84 feet near West Glacier. Flood stage there is 10 feet.

. The Whitefish River hit roughly 7 feet near its mouth in Kalispell. Flood stage there is 8.5 feet.

. The Stillwater River dropped to 6.62 feet at Lawrence Park. Flood stage there is 7.5 feet.

. The Swan River near Bigfork dropped to 5.14 feet. Flood stage there is 6.5 feet.
