Trail downs Glacier

WHITEFISH - Trail's winning ways in the Flathead Valley continued Monday as it downed host Glacier 11-2 in the championship game of the Invitational Wood Bat Tournament.
Trail scored eight runs in the fourth inning to take control of the contest.
"We walked a few guys, we made a few errors. We probably should have been out of it with only two runs scored, but we weren't and things got out of hand," said Glacier coach Ryan Hadfield.
Scott Yogodzinski led the Twins at the plate, going 2-for-4. Bridger Beach was also 2-for-3 and Scott Palmer was 1-4 with a triple.
In other scores for the day, Cranbrook got the best of the Libby Loggers, 8-2, for third place, Mission Valley Mariners 'B' downed Salmon, Id., 3-0 and the Glacier Twins dropped Kootenai Valley 12-8 to win the 'A' tournament championship.
Glacier's Willie Roach was named MVP of that tournament.
The Twins are now looking forward to the conference opener when they play host on Sunday to the Missoula Mavericks AA. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
