Meade takes two firsts in taekwondo

Lindsey Meade, 16, finished first in forms and sparring at the 11th annual Taekwondo Championship in Calgary, Alberta, on Saturday.

Meade competed in the black belt division. She is a member of Big Sky Martial Arts (BSMA).

Competing in one event, but placing first, were Kian Saadi, 6, in kinderkick sparring, and Alan Bowman, 20, in black belt forms.

Also for BSMA it was: Bella Waldher, 6, first in sparring and second in forms in kinderkick; Thomas Reed, 9, third in forms and sparring in senior yellow; Zina Loudermilk, 8, first in forms and third in sparring in senior blue; Stevi Meade, 9, second in sparring in senior blue; Zoe Loudermilk, 11, first in forms and second in sparring in senior red; Cassidy Meade, 11, first in sparring and second in forms in senior red; Jackson Waldher, 11, second in forms and sparring in senior red; Nick Saadi, 13, second in forms and third in sparring in black; Taylor Reed, 10, first in sparring and second in forms in black; and Irie Anderson, 14, first in forms and second in sparring in black.
