Glacier National Park snow plows are closing the distance to Logan Pass, despite recent weather-related setbacks on Going-to-the-Sun Road.

The West Lakes Road Crew has advanced past the Big Bend and into the Triple Arches area, where snow depths up to 35 feet were encountered. Elsewhere along the way, snow depths were 7 to 8 feet on the west side of Logan Pass.

The Hudson Bay Road Crew, meanwhile, is working in the Siyeh Bend area, where snow on the east-side road has been as deep as 25 feet.

A road gate is still in place on the west side of Glacier at Avalanche Campground, but hikers and bikers can travel beyond the gate.

East of the pass, vehicles can travel as far as Jackson Glacier Overlook, and hikers and bikers can travel farther.

Elsewhere in the park, the Many Glacier Road, the Two Medicine Road, The Chief Mountain Road, and the Camas Road are all open.

The Cut Bank Road is closed at the park boundary and the Inside North Fork Road is closed between Logging Creek and Fish Creek.
