Agnes R. Lee, 93

Agnes R. Lee, 93, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She was born on Nov. 3, 1915, in Sidney, the daughter of George and Gustava (Wolstad) Risdal.

She attended country schools near Sidney and graduated from Sidney High School.

She was united in marriage to Halvor E. Lee on May 24, 1941, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork.

Agnes worked as a farm wife, helping Halvor on the farm. She loved to cook and bake, especially bread, cakes, pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls and lefse. They enjoyed a big garden, and the family reaped the harvest of many vegetables, which she canned.

She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and quilting, making quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. With her crocheting work, she made many afghans and sweaters for her family.

Agnes and Halvor enjoyed 63 years of living on the farm before moving to Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Halvor E. Lee, in 2005; her parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Scott, and her husband, Solon, of Snohomish, Wash.; her two sons, Daniel E. Lee and his wife, Ruth, of Rock Island, Ill., and Duane Lee of Salt Lake City; and five grandchildren, Solon Scott Jr., and wife Sarah, Eric Scott, Leeann Severe and her husband, Mike, Karry Scott and his wife, Brenda, and Elizabeth Lee and her husband, Juan Pablo Ruiz; eight great-grandchildren, Solon Scott III, Jacob Scott, Ariana Scott, Hope Severe, Isaac Scott, Kaleb Scott, Noah Scott and Ruby Scott; and two brothers, George Alfred Risdal and his wife, Claudine, of W. Monroe, La., and Ralph Risdal and his wife, Jackie, of Issaquah, Wash.

Funeral services for Agnes will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Larry Stappler officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, Nov. 5, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lonepine Cemetery in Bigfork.
