Christopher J. Meccia, 23

Christopher J. Meccia, recently of Somers, and raised in Wilmington, N.C., "went home to be with the Lord" on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008.

He survived his critical birth, in which the caring staff at MCV Hospital in Richmond, Va., gave him a 1 percent chance of living. Yet the Lord blessed us with 23 years.

Christopher "Punk", driven by his heart to live and love others, made many friends in many places. "He has given us great joy and laughter and will be greatly missed."

He is survived by his loving family: parents, Gary and Linda Meccia; brother, Justin Meccia and wife Kristina; nephew and niece, Vincent and Victoria; sister, Laura Kirkpatrick and husband, Jeff; and brother, Andrew. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Grizzly Jack's in Bigfork. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Youth With a Mission, 501 Blacktail Road, Lakeside, MT 59922.
