Early-morning power outage
The Flathead Electric Cooperative reported it still was getting calls on Monday about an early-morning power outage that happened Sunday. The co-op said about 16,000 members in the Green Acres, south Kalispell, Somers, Lakeside and Bigfork areas lost their electricity as the result of a broken wire on a Bonneville Power Administration transmission line. The outage started at 3:50 a.m. and lasted less than two hours, the co-op reported.
Flathead County Sheriff's Office
The outage also effected the Flathead County Sheriff's Office, forcing authorities - after a backup system failed to kick in - to temporarily transfer dispatching duties for the county to the Kalispell Police Department.
Someone came into the Sheriff's Office to report a stolen weapon.
The occupants of a van parked in a lot near a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen initially refused to leave. The occupants, who reportedly were panhandling, decided to go when deputies arrived.
Someone broke into a business in Columbia Heights and allegedly stole some copper wire. The building's owner thinks the suspect may have been living in the building.
About 70 trees were illegally cut down in a Somers subdivision. Deputies told the caller it was a civil matter.
A kid allegedly tried to steal a four-wheeler from a Lost Creek Drive residence, damaging the battery and some other parts.
Money was reported stolen from a motel on Montana 35.
Deputies responded to Bison Drive after a woman allegedly took her mother's car without permission. The woman returned the car, but then threatened some people at the residence with a knife. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
Deputies broke up disturbances between people on Browns Meadow Road in Kila and on Angel Ridge Road in Lakeside.
A woman drove her car off an embankment and onto the beach near the Old Steel Bridge in Evergreen.
Deputies helped break up an argument between family members on East Bluegrass Drive. No word on what it was about.
Deputies were called to remove an unwanted person from a residence on Holt Drive.
Deputies received 121 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Kalispell Police
Kalispell police responded to Meridian Road after an intoxicated woman was spotted sitting in the middle of the street. She was taken to the hospital but refused to go inside, reportedly saying something about killing a cat and needing vodka. Officers eventually arrested the 40-year-old woman for disorderly conduct.
Someone busted through the window of a Great View Drive home but didn't get inside. The dog most likely scared the would-be burglar away.
A man reported for wrestling a pit bull on Third Avenue West was actually just playing with his dog.
A 13-year-old reportedly was threatened with a switchblade at a Center Street mall.
A West Hawthorne Road woman's adult son showed up at her home and demanded to spend the night. She called police and asked them to charge him with disorderly conduct.
Officers arrested a 47-year-old woman for disorderly conduct after she allegedly tried to hit a nurse and leave the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room.
A guest at an East Idaho Street motel left some keys on the dresser and the TV off. When the guest returned to the room, the keys were gone and the TV was on.
Officers arrested a 19-year-old man for theft, trespassing, and criminal mischief at a thrift store on U.S. 93 South.
Approximately $60 in meat was taken from a restaurant on First Avenue West.
A man panhandling at a grocery store on West Idaho Street was asked to leave.
Officers received 66 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police received 42 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Columbia Falls Police
Columbia Falls police arrested a 24-year-old man with a warrant out of Kalispell Municipal Court during a traffic stop in the parking lot of a building supply store on Ninth Street West.
Officers arrested a 3-year-old woman for shoplifting from a grocery store on U.S. 2.
Officers received 32 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Alarms
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 93 and West Reserve Drive.
The Kalispell Fire Department and South Kalispell Fire Department were paged out to a rollover crash on Airport Road. Both occupants refused transport to the hospital.
The Kalispell Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department were paged out to a shop on Stillwater Road after a man badly cut himself. He was taken to the hospital via private vehicle.
