Carson O. Newman, 56

Carson O. Newman, 56, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, in Kalispell. Carson was born May 6, 1952, in Jordan, to Norvald and Jessie (Wheeler) Newman. He was moved to Kalispell at a very young age, where he attended schools.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in August 1971, where he served until being honorably discharged in 1974.

Carson returned to Montana, where he worked for several years as a logger. Most recently, he had worked as the mailroom manager for the Daily Inter Lake.

He married Peggy Javorsky on Oct. 2, 1971, in Missoula.

He loved fishing, hunting and just about anything done outdoors.

He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norvald.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his mother, Jessie Nigg; two sons, Tony and Shane Schilling; a grandson, Conner Schilling, and a soon-to-be-born grandson whose name will be Austin Olen; five sisters and four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
